We are proud to announce that the organisation Inside2Outside, which makes outdoor canopies, is supporting the work of Orangutan Foundation. Inside2Outside decided to support orangutans after realising how their rainforest home is being destroyed in the name of commerce. As Inside2Outside is known as the Canopy People through their Pocca brand for schools, it seemed fitting to help an endangered animal that lives in forest canopies. Like the Orangutan Foundation, Inside2Outside believes in Education and that todays children are tomorrows leaders, this is the key to the survival of the rainforests and Orangutans. From 1 May 2009, a donation will be made for each canopy sold.

Scottish food manufacturer, Paterson Arran is tackling consumer’s health concerns and the growing environmental concern over palm oil harvesting head on and is working hard to raise awareness of the ‘oil for ape’ crisis in South East Asia through its best selling brand, Paterson’s Oatcakes. Earlier this year they presented a cheque for £907.45 to the Director of Orangutan Foundation, Ashley Leiman.
We are also hugely grateful to Le Pain Quotidien for recently funding a series of handbooks on alternative agriculture, based on field trials at Kampung Konservasi.
